About Me and My art
I create bold, graphic acrylic paintings that reimagine everyday objects, cultural icons, and literary themes through color, typography, and playful clarity. My goal is to make art that feels immediately engaging while leaving room for deeper meaning and personal interpretation.
All of my work is painted on handcrafted wood panel surfaces that I design and build myself, giving each piece a strong, contemporary presence and a finish that’s ready to hang. Fine Art Done Boldly isn’t just a tagline — it’s how I approach every painting.
My CV offers a snapshot of my professional journey as an artist — from juried art festivals and gallery representation to exhibitions and commissioned work. It reflects the consistency, credibility, and growth behind the work you see here, and provides insight into where my art has been shown, collected, and experienced.

Who I Am
Tim Spanjer, a native of New York’s Hudson Valley, grew up surrounded by the rich creative culture of the Northeast. From an early age, he immersed himself in the arts—exploring traditional media, off-Broadway theater, episodic television, and poetry. These diverse experiences shaped his instinct to discover new ways of expressing everyday subjects with clarity, humor, and bold visual impact.
His artistic mantra, Fine Art Done Boldly, comes to life through three signature genres: large-format pop-art–inspired paintings driven by wit and color, biscuit-joined pine wood cutouts of commercial and cultural icons, and his distinctive “Cerealism” mosaics—complex images crafted from intricately cut cereal box pieces. Each body of work displays both his playful imagination and his meticulous craftsmanship.
Tim’s art has been exhibited in galleries across the country, including Palm Desert, CA; Sarasota, FL; Manhattan, NYC; and Birmingham, AL. His work has also been featured in private exhibitions in Columbus, MS and Columbiana, AL. In 2018, his art was curated into Saatchi Art’s global Fall catalog, expanding his reach to collectors worldwide.
A graduate of Oklahoma City University with a degree in art, Tim is also a longtime member of SAG-AFTRA, reflecting his parallel career in performance and media. He currently lives and creates at Pursell Farms in Sylacauga, Alabama, alongside his wife and fellow artist, Vaughan Pursell Spanjer.
Produced Art Policy
On Original Works & Artistic Variations
I DO NOT mass-produce my art. All artworks created by the artist are original compositions and are considered unique works. The artist retains all rights to the underlying concepts, imagery, and compositions.
The artist may, at their sole discretion, revisit and reproduce prior concepts. However, no reproduction will be an exact replica of any previously completed work. Each subsequent painting will include intentional variations in composition, color, scale, and/or detail to ensure that every piece remains a distinct and original work of art.
The initial version of any composition is considered the primary original. Any later works derived from the same concept will be materially differentiated and will not be identical copies.
Purchase of an artwork does not grant exclusivity to the underlying concept or imagery unless explicitly agreed to in writing.
